Jason Diaz

Jason Diaz is US Marine Corps veteran and proud father of 4 amazing children! He was born and raised in Kankakee County. Immediately following high school he entered the Marine Corps boot camp. After graduating he became a Military Policeman and was deployed with the 31st MEU serving with the Pacific Fleet and with Combat Service Support Detachment 23 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was honorably discharged in 2003 and returned to the area and started working at the Manteno Veterans Home.
This led him to becoming more involved with helping local veterans. A chance encounter with Eric Peterson led to them becoming friends and discussing issues that veterans were facing. In 2021 Jason joined the board of Project Headspace and Timing and continues to make it his mission to help both his community and local veterans.
